Tasting - Unconditional (pinot noir)

Name: Unconditional
Variety: Pinot Noir
Region: Dundee, Oregon
Country: United States of America
Year: 2016
Price: $48
Winery review: “Unconditional is all about red fruit – strawberry, raspberry and cherry. It is relatively pale in color with soft tannins and lively acidity. It ranges in body from very light to the heavier side of medium, typically landing somewhere in the middle – giving it extensive possibilities for food pairing. With age (of which the best examples can handle an astounding amount), it can develop hauntingly beautiful characteristics of fresh earth, autumn leaves and truffles,” according to wine.com.

My review: This pinot noir looks very light colored, which contributes to its light taste and feel. I immediately smell cherry at the scent, and the taste is just the same. This wine is very smooth and light, and it doesn’t seem to be bold in any way (tannins nor acidity). It’s a refreshing pinot that I really liked, plus my first to try from Oregon!

I tasted this wine alone with no food.
